Today was a beautiful Spring day. The sun was shining, the temp was cool, but not cold, and the sky was a bright blue with the air nice and crisp. Our journey for the day took us to Sugarloaf Mountain.
Sugarloaf is known as a
monadnock, a mountain that remains after the erosion of the surrounding land. Here, that process took approximately 14 million years. To get there, we drove the backroads through Frederick county and into Montgomery county, Maryland. We passed through a couple of wonderful farms and managed to get some
Geocaching in as well. After a great morning Candy and I stopped for lunch at
Jersey Mike's Sub Shop and shared a giant original Italian done Mike's way - Awesome!
